 Happy Tuesday,

I hope everyone had a great four-day Easter holiday and able to connect with family and loved ones; the Sippel family loaded up and headed to Florida for a quick trip. Now it is time to kick it back in gear to finish out the school year!

Testing season is officially underway this week with AZ Merit Testing for 3rd grade and up. I have had different thoughts over the years regarding testing and education, but here’s the one thing that I always come back to; what a great way for our student’s to showing off the cool stuff they’ve learned. Please help me share this encouraging message to students so they do not become overwhelmed during testing season: CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL! What students cannot control is what questions will be on a test or what has been selected from the curriculum that they will see on the test. What they can control is the level of effort they give on a test and this will give them their best opportunity to be successful.
